Painting Gauntlet thrown down.

Over the last few days I've been looking at the latest post on Steves (Yorkies) wargames Blog 'Little Legions'His Crusader army is fantastic and his latest command stands are even better, if that possible. Now I've seen some of his 15mm armies in the flesh and I have seen photos of his 6mm and 10mm armies and they are also top notch, last week he was needing an excuse to get his painting mo jo back. So Im throwing the gauntlet down and sending him some 10mm Medieval fig's to see what he can come up with. I'm posting on here to make it a bit public:-) :-) Here,s the link for Steves Blog if you've not seen it give it a look:-

Now thats enough smoke blowing :-)

"An honest tale speeds best, being plainly told" reposted

Due to a Blogger glitch I had to delete and repost Sorry if your viewing this twice and sorry to the chaps who commented. Here is a very brief report of my club game this week against Robb's Carthaginians. Both armies set up with centre and two flanks (as always with 6mm it looked bloody massive!) I committed all my cav on the left flank hoping to catch Robb on the hop and sweep all before me....bad move Rob got his charge off before me and swept me before him.Turn two and my left flank had gone!!( more or less). Mid game my centre fared better with the Legions braking his elephants in close combat and pushing on into his main line. The Roman quality was starting to count (perhaps Rome could take the day), unfortunately the Carthage numbers began to count for every stand to fall another replaced it and Carthage skirmishers where all over the place stopping access to the the rest of the army and then some quality from Robb and Carthage got stuck into Rome and by the end phases of the battle Rome began to fall!!!...."let our death be quick as the shame shall be eternal! or something like that:-) A great game with Robb and WMA as always and Carthage took the day. Here's a few photos of the game in no particular order:-

HYW French and a little help needed.

As mentioned yesterday here's some photos of my Late HYW French not all these chaps started as French Ive taken some of my WOTR Lancs and touched up the paint job and fitted some French banners (which I found after thinking they where lost, Note to self:-tidy painting station) so once the French are finished I will have a 1250pt army the battle against My Late HYW English 1250pt army. or combine them to give me a 2000pt WOTR Lancastrain army. Once again I must apologise for the photo quality taken in poor light when I had the time(usually when its dark so using artificial light),Any photo tips for day light bulbs etc from you chaps would be much appreciated.
