10mm Demo Game?

I found this photo on a site linked to the TB Line website,I think its from a war games show in Italy.Just thought id post.Click to enlarge. Not sure of rules being used possibly Basic Impetus or just set up to show TB Line Miniatures and Hex board system. Looks like Teutonics against Polish.

  2. Dear all,
the picture is related to "PLAY" a game show in Modena (Italy) in october 2009 (if I correctly remember) and depict a battle between Teutonics and Mongols, it was a demo game of "ANTICAMENTE", the new game proposed by TBLINE, played on hexagonal battleground with their fine 10mm miniatures.
I won the second prize :-D at the last tournament of Anticamente (16 players) here in Italy and I may say that I like the game very much (surprisingly isn't it?), not a complex game but you need some games to catch every aspect needed to win… I have lost my first game of Anticamente 40 to 0 (my worst result) and slowly rising up to a 26 to 3 (my best result) in my favor after a handful of games.

You may find some interesting pictures in the following link (sorry italian language):

From the 14th picture of the 2nd gallery onward you see the first tournament of Anticamente in Agliana (Tuscany - Italy) with 10 players where I get only the 5th place :-( and you should be able to download the rules book from the italian home page of TBLINE site… I don't know the release date but I know that the English edition of Anticamente is on the workbench…

    Ciao,
    Fabrizio

PS please forgive my bad English…

  3. Thank you for commenting :-) I'm glad someone was able to shed some light on the photo.
Your English is far better than my Italian, thank you for posting in English.

  6. Posting in English is a pleasure to me… at least until I didn't cause a diplomatic incident…

At the following link (http://roninclan.it/?p=590) you may find some pictures of the 2nd tournament of Anticamente, I hope you will find something interesting even if you didn't play this game… the tournament has been played on 4 different battleground, the withe (that you already knows): Mongols vs Teutonics (TB Line miniatures), the green next to the white battleground Saxons vs Normans (Pendraken miniatures), the desertic brown: Late Romans vs Sassanids (Pendraken miniatures), the other green battleground: Eastern vs Central European (TB Line miniatures).

    Ciao,
    Fabrizio
