They are a bit BIG....

I know its a site for 6/10mm armies but I had the chance to build a 28mm army and couldn't not do, so just the one time here are some progress shots as you can see no banners fitted yet and bases need finishing, but this is it so far.Based for Impetus.

Not posted for a while so heres the latest...Normans.

After much deliberation and being based, painted and representing various armies for various rule sets over the last 2 years Ive finally decided to base my painted Normans(10mm Pendraken)for Warmaster that way they can be the standard Norman army or I can take them as Anglo-Normans using the medieval armies book. Also at the moment im trying to get some other gamers interested in 10mm war gaming and the Normans and Warmaster in my opinion are ideal for this. Photos to follow.

The Swiss!?!!??

Here's some photos of the Swiss army that are giving The Burgundians trouble at the moment. They belong to my regular Impetus opponent Tony (who's Hussite's can be seen in some old posts on this Blog) Miniature's are from Pendraken.

Just two things to say.

Just two things to say. The Swiss are hard as nails when three ranks deep in Impetus (it ended historically and the Burgundians where massacred (didn't have my camera so sorry no pics of battle to be honest they would have been photos of me putting army back in box!!). And take a look at this Blog if you haven't all ready done so I think Ruarigh is involved and it a must for anyone interested in 6mm and Wars of the Roses.

To be 6mm? or to be 10mm? that is the question.

After the comment made by Miniature Minds (Thanks) about 6mm,10mm figures. For me Ancients is defanently 6mm scale the vastness of armies in this scale I think really suits the period even if you don't pack out the base, also the range available is very good in this scale. As for the Medieval period, for me 10mm, still making the armies look BIG but without the vastness of Ancients. Also gives some room for Heraldry etc on the figures, also a better range is available at the moment for Medieval in 10mm.
