Hello fellow Bloggers its nearly the end of May and I've only posted twice this year! so thank you for not removing me from your blog reading list, I am still here. Also Ive noticed the Blog has had 102,761 veiws!! WOW thankyou to all the followers, viewers and tooters.Without going into to much detail its been a very busy start to the year on all fronts family, business etc and a little worrying health scare for me with more probing and testing than an alien abduction (nuff said) but all appears to be okay. So whats new? well still very little gaming, I didn't get to enter Pendrakens painting comp and I didnt get to Triples. On the painting front Ive continued a nice steady pace with the Medieval Scots, which ive now based on 40x20 bases to give me more options of gaming with them from DBA through SM and WMA and on to HC. So without any further ado and waffle here's some photos of the latest Scots.

Competition Painting? hmm?
Well here's the first post from the scriptorium here at the Grandscale Wargaming abbey for 2013. Things have been busy with the real life stuff over the last month or so and painting 10mm has took a significant slump. So to get the painting back up and running Ive decide to enter Pendrakens annual painting completion with some miniatures I'm going to paint in the coming weeks and miniatures I've painted over the last twelve months. Im not really one for entering painting comps especially this one as some of the other chaps are really first class painters of the 10mm scale but Hey Ho lets give it a go:-)

Seasonal greetings and witterings.
Just a quick post to say Merry Christmas! and a Happy New Year! to all the followers and of course the 'tooters' of 'Grand Scale wargaming' and thank you for being bothered to read my posts, musings and witterings about war gaming using the 6mm and 10mm scales, and the occasional 28mm post. And its with the latter in mind Ive decided (I KNOW I said I wouldn't )to start a Blog just for my 28mm stuff, just to stop the scales and projects getting muddled, heres the link to my 28mm Blog for those who wish to have a toot:-

I'm not sure how often posts will be but I really am enjoying putting the army together and have decided to try and make it an all plastic army. My main 10mm project for the start of the year is to complete my Medieval Scots , hopefully farther Christmas is bringing some more :-)
As for the Blogging scene (and Ive said it every year) but it really is good to see so many good wargaming and painting Blogs out there. To read something fresh every few days about this wonderful past time in its various scales is great. Ive really enjoyed the past few years being part of the Wargaming Blogging community,so once again thank you to all fellow bloggers for re sparking interest when it sometimes wanes. Heres to many more years :-)

Free Flag Downloads.
Now I know there are many sites out here doing some really nice free downloadable flags and banners but here's one I've missed. I took a look this lunch time and WOW!! these are really nice they are on the Grimsby Wargames Society web page. So hats off to them for 10mm they will need a little resizing me thinks but that shouldn't be to hard to do. Here's the link for anyone who hasn't already been there(apologies if this is old news).

6mm WMA Battle Report.
One of the people who is really trying to publicise gaming in the grandscale of Warmaster Ancients is Justin Taylor of VVV transfers. He is currently running practise and intro games at his local wargames shop/club, and is also organising WMA tournenments in the new year. He's just posted up an AAR if one fo the practise games so for your viewing pleasure click here and show some support :-) He will hopefully be linking in with Hail Caesar at some point? due to the rules being readily available:-)

Liebster Award. hmm?
Now then I have kindly been nominated for a Liebster Award by 'Rothgars Workbench' thank you. Here is the link to his Blog for those who have not seen it:-
http://rothgarwb.blogspot.co.uk/
So I believe I've now got to:-
1 - Show thanks to the Blogger
2 - List my top five Blogs
3 - Post the award on my Blog
4 - Enjoy support from other Bloggers
5 - Have fun and spread the karma
Hmm? not sure if its a bit chain letter'ish. Which I do not do (as it were), but my assumption is this way the Blog with the most links wins?
So here are my top five Blogs:-
1-http://yorkie.6sided.net/
2-http://dalauppror.blogspot.co.uk/
3-http://stuartsworkbench.blogspot.co.uk/
4-http://harness-and-array.blogspot.co.uk/
5-http://onelover-ray.blogspot.co.uk/
Well that's that good luck to all.

10mm Scenic eye candy.
Whilst trawling the web recently Ive come across several photos of 10mm games and scenery that reminds me why its the best scale to game in, In 10mm on a 6'x4' table you can fit in a whole landscape filled with scenic eye candy which isn't possible with clumsy 28's:-) Here's some of the photos I've come across to prove the point.
I also spotted this painted fig on the TB Line Blog..Stunning!! well done that man.
